I studied computer science at the University of Karlsruhe. Finally, after a long way of lectures, tutorials and examinations, I finished in January 2005 as a "Diplom-Informatiker". That's something like the German version of a Master in Computer Science.
My main study interests were the telematics and the system architecture. For all those who are not familar with these expressions: telematics includes all the communications stuff in computer science - networks (wide, local, wireless ...) , internet, telecommunication and everything else you can imagine for connecting computers.
A synonym for my second topic, the system architecure, is operating systems. Since the University of Karlsruhe is the Headquater of the L4 micro kernel developers, the contents of my lectures were a lot of micro kernel stuff and less all the other OSes.
